After a family tragedy, Katie Green moves to Japan with her aunt, where she must learn the language and adapt to local customs. She soon meets Tomohiro, a kendo master, and is drawn to him, but fears the strange occurrences when they are together: pens exploding, ink appearing out of nowhere, and drawings coming to life. Tomohiro has special abilities, but loses control when near her, and now people are seeking to exploit his gift. Katie might not leave Japan alive.
