'By Sea By Land' is the translation from the MacDonald Clan motto 'Per Mare Per Terras' undoubtedly referring to the vastness of the clan across Scotland. The MacDonald Clan was and still is the largest of all the Highland clans.

The 'By Sea & By Land' necklace has multiple sentiments behind it. It not only represents Scotland's magnificent landscapes and seas, but the whole planets incredible topography and oceans to which most of us feel a deep connection.

This necklace for me also has the personal connection-to honour my heritage and family name, MacDonald. I kept MacDonald as my middle name when I got married as I'm extremely proud of my roots and my family is from where my inspiration for the business grew.
